So, for my first blog post I am going to talk about something totally exciting (Not). The dentist. I absolutely loathe going to the dentist, which I'm sure most people do. I mean, who likes sitting in an uncomfortable chair for God knows how long having some random person poking, pulling, and prying at your teeth? Not me that's for sure!
I literally just got back from a dentist appointment to have some cavities (yuck) filled. And next Wednesday I have to go back to have the last two filled. I worry about everything under the sun so I wasn't told about today's dentist appointment until after school because my parents didn't want me to freak out over something so tiny. I know, it's probably dumb to be afraid of going to the dentist, but I can't help it.
After he gave me an injection to numb my mouth, he and the dental assistant started filling my cavities and all I could was just sit there, stare at the cracks in the ceiling above me, and wait for this torture to be over. And, thankfully, only 30 minutes later it was :) Now I'm sitting here, typing this, waiting for the right side of my mouth to get feeling back in it.

I love the dentist! your crazy! how can you not like the dentist? I mean, you get to watch free tv! and thats not all! also, they brush your teeth for you! thats awesome! i love the dentist.
ReplyDeleteohh my goodnesss! I know exactly how you feel. I've hated going to the dentist ever since I was way little. I would like cry and try to fight him from looking at my teeth and I even bit the dentist once. Haha now that I have braces I have to go once a month but its not as bad because I dont have to hear the drill lol
ReplyDeletei must agree with trevor. i think the dentist is pretty cool. ive had hella cavities myself so i know the pain that comes with it. by this my dentist knows me very well, so i think that also has a part in the "if you likke the dentist or not" part. so it is all about the dentist you go to in my eyes. i suggest you go to the little man one instead of the big business like westren dental or vally oak they suckkkk!!!!
ReplyDeleteunlike trevor and jacob i totally hate the dentist as well. but the thing that sucks the absolute worst for me when i go to the dentist is my mom being a dental assistant. so she thinks i can take the pain when she is working on my teeth. (news flash... i cant) and on top of that all her coworkers know me so they insist on having conversations with me when they have their fingers in my mouth. do they not know that its ridiculously hard to talk with a mouth full of rubber glove covered hand?
ReplyDeletethat is hella true. i hate the dentist because they make me sit in the waiting room for hours. then once your out of the waiting room your in another room, sitting and waiting some more. one time they injected me with like 4 shots in my mouth but i got still fill them chipping away at my teeth. then wen i got home i was hella drooling everywhere! it was soo nasty!
ReplyDeleteI agree about the dentist. But, my attitude about things is the total oppisite of oyurs. Mine is "Roll with the flow" due to 10 years of being made fun of. Also, 3 years of not being trusted by others.
